Goodnight Clayton Soiree
On behalf of the Women of Clayton County, it is an honor to announce the Second Annual Goodnight Clayton Soiree to be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Morrow Center. We expect the soiree to be a sold-out event with up to 250 guests in attendance.
Women of Clayton County drives positive change in Clayton County through strategic collaborations with our county leaders, businesses, and residents. Approximately 58% of Clayton County 3rd Graders read on or above grade-level and our children have an overall Child Well-Being score of 36.2 vs. 58.9 for the Metro Atlanta Region. With your support, we can do better!
Now in its second year, the Goodnight Clayton literacy campaign supports Clayton County Public Schools' Inaugural Books on the Bus initiative. The Books on the Bus initiative is designed to maximize reading time for all students in an effort to foster a passion for reading while building fluency and vocabulary knowledge.
In 2018, Women of Clayton County distributed over 5,000 books and new pajamas to Clayton County students to encourage family literacy and provided funding to the United Way in support of their Child Well Being Initiatives in Clayton County. Clayton County saw a 6 point increase in their Child Well Being score in part to our literacy campaign and the efforts of the community as a whole.
